In many cases, Factory Rebuilt Glocks start as display models or have cosmetic blemishes that do not meet Glock Inc.'s quality standards. When that occurs, the firearm is sent back to Glock, where they replace worn parts, refinish the metal, and label the firearm as a "rebuilt." The Modular Back Strap design of the GLOCK 17 Gen4 allows users to easily customize its grip for added comfort, no matter their hand size. The surface of the frame features the new Gen4 rough textured profile. Internally, the new GLOCK dual recoil spring assembly significantly reduces wear and tear on the system. A reversible, enlarged magazine catch, which can be changed by the user, accommodates both left- and right-handed operators.
