In many cases, Factory Rebuilt Glocks start as display models or have cosmetic blemishes that do not meet Glock Inc.'s standards of quality. When that happens, the firearm is sent back to Glock, where worn parts are replaced, the metal is refinished, and the firearm is labeled as a "rebuilt." With the G17 Gen5 MOS, GLOCK enhances the already near-perfect Gen5 model, which is known as "The original," by adding the Modular Optic System (MOS). The slide is precisely machined to include a mounting system for popular optic sights.
