The X-Bolt 2 Medallion Maple was developed for the hunter that prefers the tradition of a wood stock and appreciates the improvements that technology provides. The standout feature is the beautiful AAAA maple stock with gloss finish and rosewood caps at the fore-end tip and grip cap. Touches like a rounded fore-end tip and point-style checkering retain the classic look, but like other X-Bolt models, this stock has a trim, nimble feel that is fast to the shoulder. Gloss blued finish on the engraved receiver, barrel, and bottom metal accentuates the stock and raises the bar of elegance. The spiral fluted bolt reduces weight and adds visual interest. Focusing on performance, X-Bolt 2 Hunter is an ideal blend of tradition and design that will satisfy the accuracy needs of shooters. A sporter contour barrel that keeps the rifle light, maneuverable, and easy to carry. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. A removable, radial style muzzle brake reduces felt recoil and retains the lines of the rifle. A thread protector is included. The action has been redesigned with additional bolt guidance surface for smoother cycling. The bolt has also been reworked and is fitted with an improved handle and bolt knob. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds.)
